What is kielbasa? In a word, it’s sausage! Kielbasa is simply the Polish word for sausage. There are many types of kielbasa, but in the U.S., it usually refers to a ring or rope of smoked pork sausage seasoned with a traditional blend of spices.
At Coleman Natural, our Uncured Smoked Polish Kielbasa is made from all-natural pork raised without antibiotics or added growth hormones. This pork is blended with flavorful spices, naturally cured with cultured celery powder and sea salt, and slow-smoked for rich flavor.
All pork used in Coleman Natural products comes from family farms that practice crate-free husbandry and humane standards of animal care. Our American Humane Certified Pork is better for the animal and better for you!
How to Cook Polish Kielbasa
- slow cooker
Simply heat your fully-cooked kielbasa on the grill, in the oven, on the stovetop, or in the slow cooker, and it’s ready to enjoy.
To cook in a skillet, slice it into 1” rounds and sauté on the stovetop until warm. Put the whole rope in the oven or on the grill over indirect heat until the inside reaches a toasty 140°F. Or slice your kielbasa and add it to soups or stews in your slow cooker.
How Is Coleman Natural Kielbasa Made?
Coleman Natural Kielbasa is made with pork shoulder, due to the shoulder’s 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio. This blend is perfect for flavorful, moist sausages that add savory richness to your recipes.
Seasoned with fragrant spices, a dash of honey and cane sugar, and a bit of sea salt, these sausages have no added nitrates, nitrites, or artificial ingredients.
